Tucker Co. says it will move from its current Carmel location to the emerging Midtown development. The real estate firm will occupy the majority of the first floor of the new $33 million Allied Solutions LLC headquarters. The new office will house 150 associates, with room for more.
Chief Executive Officer Jim Litten says the new space "offers a vibrant sense of place and unique connection with the heart of the city." The firm will occupy about three-fourths of the street-level space in the five-story building, which is expected to be complete by October 2017.
Allied Solutions announced plans in January to expand its headquarters in the Midtown district and add more than 600 jobs by 2025. The subsidiary of Minnesota-based Securian Financial Group said the facility would include mixed-use space on the first floor. In 2015, Old Town Development and Barrett & Stokely detailed plans for a $45 million mixed-use project in the district, including 250 residential units, space for a major business tenant and a sky bridge.
F.C. Tucker says the move reflects its larger strategy to upgrade its central Indiana offices. The firm is moving its south office to a new building, and plans additional upgrades to several existing Indianapolis-area offices.
Carmel Mayor Jim Brainard says residential demand is growing in Midtown as well.
