Calumet says it is providing Restored Creations with a year’s supply of its TitanWax candle blend for the women to produce soy-blend candles.
Restored Creations offers candles, wax melts and mini melts as well as candles with matchbox holders. Calumet is supplying 600 pounds of its TitanWax candle blend to Restored Creations.
“Each of our candle products is hand poured by women who have survived homelessness, addictions, domestic violence and brokenness,” said Restored Creations team lead Breana Rothrock. “We provide a therapeutic outlet for these women while empowering them to learn and develop skills needed to obtain and maintain gainful employment after leaving Wheeler Mission.”
Calumet expanded its industrial wax production with the acquisition of Muncie-based Paralogics LLC last year.
“We wanted to have a new product in the marketplace and be able to supply to candle makers, so we created the TitanWax brand to focus just on candles, whether you’re looking for paraffins, natural wax or a custom blend,” said Calumet Director of Corporate Marketing Lindsey LaBerge. “And as we were developing the brand and various candle blends, we had the idea to donate to a local Indiana charity.”
Calumet says the donated wax will make 1,500 to 3,000 candles. Calumet is also planning to showcase the candles at the National Candle Association Annual Conference and Expo in Alabama in October.
