Craig Caldwell has been selected by Butler University to serve as interim dean of the Lacy School of Business. He currently serves as associate dean in the Lacy School of Business. Caldwell begins his new role July 3.

He joined the university in 1999 and has held a variety of roles including adjunct faculty, lecturer, visiting professor, assistant professor, and currently associate professor of marketing and management. Caldwell also served as chair of the Marketing & Management Department for three years. In the Indianapolis community, he serves as a member of the Board of Directors of Goodwill of Central & Southern Indiana and the International School of Indiana.

Caldwell teaches in the MBA and Master of Science in Risk & Insurance programs, delivering classes on Leadership, Strategy, and Organizational Change. He has won seven teaching awards, four advising awards, and was elected by the student body as the faculty speaker for the 2015 commencement ceremony.

Caldwell is the co-author of a book on leadership titled “The Catalyst Effect.” His academic work has appeared in the Journal of Corporate Citizenship, Business and Society, Journal of Leadership & Organizational Studies, The Monitor, Business and Society Review, Management Accounting Quarterly.

Caldwell holds a PhD from the University of Pittsburgh, an MBA from Virginia Tech, and a BA from Anderson University.
