The Gateway Lounge will feature workspaces as well as complimentary refreshments, restrooms and a kitchenette.
Day passes and annual memberships will be available for purchase. The Gateway Lounge will operate during standard airport operating hours, and access to the lounge will be “self-serve” through a digital membership pass.
The announcement follows a record year for passenger travel in 2023 at FWA.
STAR Bank is partnering with FWA on the project, which is scheduled to open in early 2025. More information on pricing and registration is expected to be available in the coming weeks.
The Gateway Lounge is part of FWA’s East Eerminal expansion and renovation project.
Last month, a new restaurant and coffee shop opened as part of the project. The new Hop River Brewing and Bon Bon’s Coffee locations are the first portions of the expansion to open to the public.
Work on the East Terminal expansion began in 2023 and is expected to be complete by August 2025, Scott Hinderman, FWA executive director, told Inside INdiana Business earlier this year.
