Builders association CEO announces retirement

The association announced Lains’ decision in a news release while crediting his leadership with the advancement of the local homebuilding industry.
“Steve’s vision and dedication have been truly transformative for BAGI,” Board President Tatum Hill said in the release. “His leadership has strengthened our organization and brought invaluable progress to the industry. While we will certainly miss his guidance and steady hand, we are incredibly happy for Steve as he embarks on this well-deserved retirement.”
The Builders Association of Greater Indianapolis is a membership-based organization designed to promote central Indiana’s new-home construction, educate members and consumers on the homebuilding industry’s standards and practices, and provide networking opportunities for members.
The organization covers Marion County and the eight surrounding counties.
The association’s board of directors has launched a search to find Lains’ successor with the help of a search consultant.
A timeline for a decision on a new CEO was not provided.
