Bud Myers Retiring From Indianapolis Housing Agency

After nearly 18 years, the executive director of the Indianapolis Housing Agency is retiring. Bud Myers calls his time in the position "one of the greatest joys of my career." The agency’s board of directors has named Indianapolis-based Insight Development Corp. President Jennifer Green the successor on an interim basis. Indianapolis Mayor Joe Hogsett is leading a nationwide search to fill the position full-time.

"Leaving a job you love is never easy but it’s something we all will encounter the longer we live and remain committed to the work we have been called to do," Myers said. "The IHA staff, board of directors, our city leaders and stakeholders have worked tirelessly to improve the affordable housing landscape in our city and I commend them for a job well done. I’m looking forward to spending time with my family and attending to my overall health as I settle into retirement. I want to thank Mayor Hogsett and the entire administration for their support during this transition."

Myers’ last day will be Friday. The IHA is a federally-funded government housing agency that handles affordable housing access for low-income families, seniors and families with disabilities.
