Indiana Department of Transportation officials say contractors have restricted traffic to one lane to begin building crossovers for drivers just west of U.S. 231 to just east of State Road 32.
The project includes replacing decks on bridges over Little Sugar Creek, State Road 47, Sugar Creek, CSX Railroad, U.S. 231, and over Black Creek. ICC Group was awarded the $14.6 million contract. Work on I-74 westbound bridges will continue during the year, and eastbound bridge work is scheduled for 2019. The completion date for all work is scheduled for May 2020.
