The company expects the taproom to open by the end of the year and the brewery to be operational by early 2017.
The facility, which will be located in the city’s Historic Train Depot, plans to employ 15 to 20 people when fully operational. Co-owner Andy Davidson says they have been looking to expand the brewery’s presence in central Indiana.
"After visiting Kokomo and witnessing the growth and progression in the downtown area, we thought it would be a perfect fit," said Davidson. "Our customers are our top priority and this expansion allows us to bring our craft beer culture closer to them. We’re excited to work together to bring this new facet of Tin Man Brewing Company to the area."
This will be Tin Man’s second location in Indiana. Co-owner Nick Davidson says they hope to produce around 500 barrels of beer in the first year of production at the Kokomo location.
