The newly-created position will focus on encouraging Hoosier youth to explore careers in STEM.
Brink previously served as the Council’s STEM District Director. In her new role, Brink will lead the Workforce Readiness Program and manage the STEM Scouts Program, a national initiative that provides on hands-on activities for girls and boys in grades 3-12.
“I’m honored to have the opportunity to advance such a crucial program for our youth,” said Brink in a news release. “Through this position, Crossroads of America Council is making it a priority to expand business partnerships and engage more communities and volunteers in programs that will help youth in Central Indiana to have the technical skills and curiosity to pursue their dreams. Couple these hands-on skills with the ethical foundation Scouting provides to guide them along the way and we will be setting the next generation of leaders up for success.”
