Eight committee chairmanships changed, along with six leadership changes due to several House Republicans retiring.
State Rep. Tim Brown (R-41) will again chair Ways and Means, and State Rep. Todd Huston (R-37) has been appointed to serve as co-chair while Brown continues to recover from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.
“With a tough budget session ahead, we wanted to make sure Representative Brown has the support he needs and that’s why Representative Huston will join him as a co-chair of this critical committee," said Bosma. "Todd is a well-respected member of our caucus and has a great command of the issues."
House lawmakers will convene on January 3 for the first day of the legislative session. You can view the entire list of appointments by clicking here.
