The Indy Startup Challenge is a 10-week program that aims to give entrepreneurs the tools they need to make their businesses sustainable.
Elevate Ventures says the mission is "to create a wave of lasting startups throughout Indiana." The organization says the program will teach best-in-class startup methodologies, with participants working in teams to learn how to take an idea and turn it into a company.
"As a part of Elevate Ventures, I enjoy working with early stage companies getting them ready for investment." says Kelly Schwedland, entrepreneur-in-residence at Elevate Ventures. "We thought it would be great if we could pull a lot of these companies together, speed up the process, allow the companies to learn from each other, and then introduce them to real investors for feedback."
Companies will make a final pitch to a panel of judges, which consists of local investors including High Alpha, Meridian Street Capital, Elevate Ventures and Developer Town. Winners will receive prizes, including at least $5,000 in cash.
