Subscribe NowStartup Weekend Bloomington will hold its annual entrepreneurship competition next month at the Indiana University Cyberinfrastructure Building. The event calls on participants to take business ideas from concept to launch in 54 hours.
The competition begins on Friday, November 6th, when attendees will have 60 seconds pitch their ideas – typically web and mobile applications. Organizers will form groups around the best ideas. Those teams then spend the rest of the weekend working with coaches and seasoned entrepreneurs to transform them into viable companies. Final pitches are scheduled for Sunday, November 8.
The Bloomington Economic Development Corp. says the first place student startup will earn a spot in its B-Start program, which is a pre-accelerator for IU and Ivy Tech Community College startups.
