Devta Kidd started in the role on a part-time basis in mid-November, and assumed the full-time position this week. Kidd succeeds outgoing director Tom Miller.
Hamilton recommended the Office of Innovation in 2016 and it was approved by the City Council to lead efforts to optimize the delivery of city services. A primary objective of the office is to foresee tech advances that could affect city services and how to best respond to changes.
“In our rapidly changing world, the City continues to encounter unprecedented challenges — and tremendous opportunities — that demand a dynamic approach to the way we deliver services,” Hamilton commented. “Devta has a proven record of helping organizations work as efficiently as possible and in tandem with these changes. We are glad to have her experience to help guide our resources and practices."
Kidd formerly worked in government, technology and healthcare. She was most recently Managing Director at Monarch Media.
