The biotherapeutic drug development company says it will invest $1.5 million into expanding and renovating its Johnson County facility. The additional laboratory space is slated to be complete this summer.
B2S currently employs 16 and its customers include large contract research organizations, pharmaceutical companies, smaller biotech businesses and startups. The new jobs are expected to pay wages higher than the state and county average. Available positions include scientists, project managers, statisticians and business development and management associates.
"Recruiting and hiring local talent in the area is a priority for us," said Chief Scientific Officer Ron Bowsher. "From the onset, we have worked together to enhance the local area where we live and work. This priority is reinforced by the fact that many of our lab staff reside in the southern portion of Marion County or Johnson County and by our close partnership with Franklin College. We look forward to continuing to grow the life sciences and biotech presence in central Indiana."
The company has been offered up to $250,000 in conditional tax credits from the Indiana Economic Development Corp. You can connect to more about the expansion plans by clicking here.
