The “Cardinals Vote!” initiative, supported by a Community-Engaged Alliance grant, seeks to expand non-partisan civic engagement across the campus and surrounding community through outreach and various strategies.
The program will also include an online hub of resources and informational materials.
Several offices and faculty will participate in the push, including David Roof, director of the Center for Economic and Civic Learning; Abby Haworth, director of student life; and Kelli Huth, associate vice president for community engagement.
“CECL is dedicated to equipping individuals with the tools they need to thrive in a global society,” Roof said. “This partnership allows us to extend the reach of our current initiatives, creating a lasting impact on both our campus and the broader community.”
The university said success will be evaluated using voter registration rates, voter turnout, number of educational events hosted and the level of engagement in community-based activities.
