LLC plans to lease a nearly 420,000-square-foot facility in the Silver Creek Logistics Center in Sellersburg and create up to 180 jobs.
One Southern Indiana (1si), the economic development organization and chamber of commerce for Clark and Floyd counties, says Rush Group plans to invest $15 million to add new equipment and make building improvements at the facility,
“We’re excited for the company’s continued growth as it indicates the confidence and value offered to our customers,” Rush Group President Lori Lancaster said in a news release. “Our success is built on being a trusted partner to our clients and this investment in the Town of Sellersburg strongly positions us to meet our growing client demand.”
Rush Group did not specify when operations are slated to begin. It is also unclear when the company plans to begin hiring for the new positions.
Multiple requests for more information from Inside INdiana Business were not returned.
The Indiana Economic Development Corp. has offered Rush Group up to $1.8 million in conditional tax credits, which the company will not be eligible to claim until Hoosier workers are hired for the new jobs.
The town of Sellersburg has also approved a five-year personal property tax abatement for the company.
“The Town of Sellersburg enthusiastically welcomes this significant project from the Rush Group Limited to our growing community,” Town Council President Brad Amos said. “This planned investment, and subsequent hiring of 180 employees, offers a recurring benefit to our community and local economy that will be realized for years to come.”
The facility, known as Building B in the logistics park, was recently developed by New York-based Clarion Partners and marketed by Louisville-based commercial real estate firm NAI Fortis Group.
