She focuses her practice on civil litigation with an emphasis on medical malpractice and commercial litigation in state and federal court. Emley previously served as an associate with an Indianapolis-based litigation firm. In this role, she represented physicians, surgeons, physician extenders, physician groups and hospitals in defending medical malpractice claims. Emley also represented businesses and business owners in pursuing and defending civil disputes in state and federal court.
She also previously worked for the Indiana State Department of Health as a staff attorney. Emley practiced administrative and civil litigation for the Divisions of Acute Care, Long-Term Care, Environmental Public Health, HIV Medical Services and Children with Special Needs Health Care Services. She has served as the primary attorney for the Communicable Disease, HIV/STD and Office of Women’s Health program areas in addition to her other responsibilities.
In 2010, Emley earned her juris doctor from the University of Louisville Brandeis School of Law. She graduated, cum laude, from Butler University with a major in political science and minor in Spanish in 2007.
