Assistance applications open for small biz projects

As a subscriber you can listen to articles at work, in the car, or while you work out. Subscribe NowApplications are open for the Indiana Technical Assistance Program through the Indiana Small Business Development Center. The program connects small businesses with assistance for complete growth and improvement projects.
Eligible companies can receive up to $15,000 in professional services from a qualified vendor. Examples of specialized projects include app or technology development, inventory and point of sale tracking system updates or training, intellectual property legal assistance and grant writing.
Since the program launched in 2017, over 250 businesses have received assistance with projects of which 80 have been completed in 2023.
To be eligible, businesses must be:
- be or become an Indiana SBDC client by March 1.
- have a physical presence in Indiana.
- use a vendor physically located in Indiana.
- be able to complete the project within five months and before Dec. 31, 2024.
- be an eligible project type.
- be able to demonstrate a positive impact after completion, like job creation, increased production or sales or new market expansion.
The deadline for applications is Feb. 25.
