Indianapolis-based Ascension St. Vincent says it has opened a new adult and pediatric burn center at its main campus on 86th Street in Indianapolis. The announcement comes as the health system says it has opened a pediatric trauma center at its Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital

The burn center includes an eight-bed burn intensive care unit which will handle the most severe burns. It also has a clinic that can accommodate various wounds and dressing changes.

The pediatric trauma center will offer 24/7 access to a pediatric trauma team of specialists, including a pediatric surgeon.
