Financial terms of the deal are not being disclosed, but three board-certified neurologists will be joining the Ascension team as a result.
Ascension said in a news release that the two groups have worked together to provide neurology care for patients for many years, and the acquisition represents a “new chapter of growth and innovation.”
“Our top priority remains unwavering — providing high-quality, compassionate care to patients and their families,” Dr. Chad Perkins, regional chief medical officer for Ascension Medical Group Evansville, said in a news release. “This acquisition aligns perfectly with our commitment to enhancing health care services and addressing the evolving needs of the community we serve.”
The physicians joining the Ascension team are Drs. Carla Brandt, Francis Kadiyamkuttiyil, and Faris Fadheel. Ascension declined to specify if any other jobs would be affected by the acquisition.
As part of the acquisition, the health system is renovating the Ascension St. Vincent Evansville Medical Office East at 801 St. Mary’s Drive to accommodate the new physicians. That work is slated for completion by the end of June.
Ascension would also not specify financial details of its investment in the renovation project.
Until the work is done, the new physicians will continue to see patients at their current location at 1312 Professional Boulevard.
