Arquettes serving as Visiting Experts in Residence at Ball State

The couple recently completed the first of two weeks as the first Edmund F. and Virginia B. Ball Visiting Experts in Residence for Media on the Muncie campus.
The Visiting Expert in Residence for Media initiative is part of Ball State’s College of Communication, Information, and Media. The goal is invite industry experts to campus “to provide meaningful insights to students in and out of the classroom.
The Arquettes are splitting their time at Ball State and spent their first week in Muncie last week, which included with a Q&A with students.
The pair will return to campus for another full week in November.
“It’s a thrill to be on Ball State’s campus with David to meet with students and to make an impact on the future leaders of the media and entertainment industries,” Christina Arquette said in a news release. “We look forward to returning to Ball State in November to continue this fulfilling work.”
The visit follows David Arquette’s trip to Muncie in April as a featured speaker in Ball State’s David Letterman Distinguished Professional Lecture and Workshop Series.
“We are excited to welcome David and Christina Arquette back to our campus as our University’s first Edmund F. and Virginia B. Ball Visiting Experts in Residence for Media,” said Suzy Smith, department chair of the Department of Media. “We are grateful for David and Christina’s continued engagement with our University, their expertise, and look forward to another vibrant, valuable experience for our students, faculty, and staff.”
