Architect Selected For ‘The Landing’

Just days after the Fort Wayne Downtown Development Trust announced a developer for the redevelopment of The Landing, the project now has an architect. Fort Wayne-based MKM architecture + design will work on the live, work, play development.

Cincinnati-based The Model Group was chosen last week to oversee the redevelopment of The Landing. The project will feature over 100,00 square feet of retail, entertainment and housing space. 

"This is an incredibly important moment for downtown Fort Wayne," said Zachary Benedict with MKM. "In understanding the significance of the Landing, and its place in our community’s history, this project is an exciting opportunity to strengthen our downtown’s ability to provide a work/live/play lifestyle for people of all ages and abilities."

Last week, the Downtown Development Trust said officials are working with The Model Group to finalize a development agreement, which could take several months. Officials hope to begin construction on the project in late 2016.
