Aqua Indiana names new state president

Subscribe NowIndianapolis-based Aqua Indiana, a subsidiary of Essential Utilities Inc., has named Bob Ervin president of statewide operations. Ervin previously worked for Aqua Illinois for 24 years, including time as state president.
Aqua Indiana says Ervin brings nearly four decades of experience in management and operations. In his new role, Ervin will be responsible for utility operations, business development, compliance and community partnerships throughout its territories, which span 15 counties.
“I am pleased to take on this new endeavor with Aqua Indiana, providing vision and strategy to help deliver best-in-class services for customers across the state,” said Ervin. “It has been a pleasure to support Aqua Illinois’ success over the years, and I am eager to share those best practices with the Indiana team. Together, we can continue to build on Aqua Indiana’s strong reputation for excellence.”
As area manager for Aqua Illinois’ East Central Division in Danville, Illinois, Ervin oversaw operations in Vermilion, Champaign and Knox counties, along with numerous infrastructure improvement projects. In 2019, he was promoted to operations director, where he supervised operations for 29 water and 11 wastewater systems. Earlier this year, he was named president of Aqua Illinois.

Ervin was named president of Aqua Illinois earlier this year.
