For the first time, the chamber is partnering with the Indiana Destination Development Corp. to market the program.
The competition uses a single-elimination, bracket-style tournament spotlighting products made throughout the state.
While the companies that take part in the program do not need to be headquartered in Indiana, the product entered into the competition must be made in Indiana.
Entries are being accepted through Oct. 18, and nominations are limited to one one product per company. Products will advance in the tournament through online voting that will begin in October and conclude in November.
Hoosier Racing Tire in Plymouth won last year’s competition for its racing tire. Previous winners include Maple Leaf Farms in Leesburg for its roast half duck, and Janus Motorcycles in Goshen.
Indiana Chamber CEO Vanessa Green Sinders said partnering with the IDDC and its “IN Indiana” marketing campaign was an easy decision.
“We’re truly excited to put a brighter spotlight on this popular and fun contest but also the makers that are so important to Indiana’s economy,” Sinders said in a news release. “The fact that such a variety of great companies are flourishing here demonstrates how fertile Indiana is for growing a business.”
To mark the partnership, the chamber revamped the program’s logo to include the IDDC’s “IN Indiana” campaign branding. IDDC Secretary and CEO Elaine Bedel said the partnership is a perfect way to celebrate innovation in the state.
“Showcasing Indiana’s talent and premiere craftsmanship are two of the many reasons why the ‘IN Indiana’ identifier and overall campaign align with and elevate this initiative,” Bedel said. “We are honored to be able to highlight the individuals and organizations that are so vital to the story we tell.”
Awards for the top finishers will be presented at the 2024 Best IN Manufacturing Awards Luncheon on December 11 in downtown Indianapolis. You can learn more about the program by clicking here.
