Known as the "Smart Duck," Edwin is a motion-based toy that connects to a mobile app with educational games, stories and songs.
Edwin won the 2015 Mira Award in the Mobile Tech category. It was made available for purchase in October and the new announcement with Apple comes less than a month after pi lab announced the toy’s availability at Best Buy stores.
“Any child can instantly connect with Edwin, and spend the day with him laughing, playing, learning, singing and more,” said Don Inmon, co-creator. “Edwin and his growing library of interactive content makes him a new best friend that never goes out of style.”
Edwin is equipped with a built-in LED light, rechargeable lithium ion battery and wireless waterproof speaker. The toy retails for $99.95 at Apple.com.
The company recently released a new app for Edwin called Sleepy time. The new app allows users to enjoy lullabies and additional sleep sounds. Parents can also adjust the strength of Edwin’s nightlight and set a sleep timer.
