The company announced Thursday it has acquired Ideal Steel, a manufacturer of pre-engineered steel buildings and components headquartered in Broussard, Louisiana.
Financial terms of the deal are not being disclosed. However, a spokesperson for Ambassador Supply said in an email to Inside INdiana Business that Ideal Steel has 100 employees, all of whom will be retained.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Ideal Steel to the Ambassador Supply team,” CEO Brad Crawford said in a news release. “With an alignment of visions strengthened by our shared values, we know this strategic partnership will make a positive impact on the market.”
Ambassador Supply is an investment and management company specializing in the residential and commercial construction industry.
Ideal Steel was founded in 2002, and President John Tolson called the acquisition a great opportunity to grow the business.
“Working with Ambassador Supply will provide our company with new opportunities for collaboration and innovation, as well as an expanded market presence – all while continuing to provide our customers with the same high-quality service they know and trust,” Tolson said.
The deal comes six months after Ambassador Supply announced its acquisition of Brookshire, Texas-based Straight Line Metal Buildings, which also manufactures pre-engineered metal buildings.
The company also acquired Tennessee-based Orgain Building Supply in May 2022.
