Allegiant Fire Protection has opened a new office in Valparaiso, with plans to add about a dozen jobs over the next 18 months.
The company declined to disclose its financial investment in the 5,000-square-foot location at 3505 Redbow Drive near the Porter County Regional Airport.
Allegiant provides fire protection system inspections and maintenance, as well as fire alarm system design, installation, service and repair, and monitoring for industrial, commercial and residential clients.
“We have been in the community for several years as our technicians have worked with northwest Indiana clients but we never had a home here. Those technicians always reported back to our Aurora office,” President Mike Carli said in a news release. “We will now have a home base here for them and future employees as we look to grow our Valparaiso team.”
Carli said in an email to Inside INdiana Business the company sees opportunities for growth in Valparaiso and the surrounding areas.
“There is plenty of new construction in northwest Indiana, as well as established businesses, that need an affordable and quality fire protection partner,” he said. “We could potentially look to expand closer to Indianapolis in the future as well.”
The Valparaiso office is the company’s second location after its Illinois headquarters.
