Last year, the race topped expectations by attracting more than 62,000 fans. This year’s race, set for October 14-15, will crown the series’ world champion. IMS President Doug Boles tells Inside INdiana Business now is an important time to get people "paying attention to events outside of the 500."
Before last year’s inaugural event, Visit Indy had estimated between 40,000 and 50,000 fans would attend, calling the event a regional draw.
