Westfield-based AgReliant Genetics has named its next chief executive officer to lead the seed research and production company.

The board of directors selected Paul Nselel as president and CEO, effective immediately.

Nselel began his career in the agriculture industry with Monsanto where he held several positions in both Eastern Europe and North America.

He also worked in the banking industry, having worked for several years for Lehman Brothers in New York.

The company is also celebrating its 20th anniversary. The company now offers corn, soybeans and other seeds in 38 states, including AgriGold, LG Seeds and PRIDE Seeds.

AgReliant was founded by the joining of assets between venture companies Groupe Limagrain, of France, and KWS, of Germany.
