AES Indiana, a subsidiary of The AES Corp. has hired Kelly Young as director of public relations. She brings nearly three decades of experience in developing and implementing communication strategies for nonprofit organizations, corporations and utilities. Young most recently worked at three of the largest public relations firms in Indianapolis before starting her own agency, Baise Communications. 

In her new role, she will serve as spokesperson for AES Indiana and drive the development and implementation of strategic communications and outreach. Young will be responsible for increasing the company’s engagement with the media and telling the story of how the company is accelerating the future of energy and providing customers with reliability, affordability, and sustainability.

She is a graduate of Ball State University.
