Scott Jones says the full and part-time courses, which feature a “cyber range” to give students hands on experience, are the first of their kind in Indiana. "We teach it in twelve weeks and you come out with two industry certifications that virtually guarantee you get a starting job that’s in the 60, 70, 80,000 (salary range)," said Jones. "These are big jobs, big careers and it’s fun."
Jones talked about Eleven Fifty Academy and the state’s cybersecurity job market on this weekend’s edition of Inside INdiana Business with Gerry Dick.
The program has a 12 week full-time and 24 week part-time immersion course, aimed at preparing students for entry level cybersecurity jobs.
Eleven Fifty says the training will be a hands-on, scenario-based experience that will include security exercises that can be “scaled in complexity.”
Students can earn global cybersecurity certifications in Security+ and Network+ through the program.
