South Bend-based Great Lakes Capital is opening the second phase of a mixed-use complex in the community of Granger.
GrandView South offers 178 apartments and 25,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space. The commercial anchor is Bar Louie, which will employ 90 people when it opens August 10.
“We are proud to deliver this exceptional development to our region, as it creates a new urban, lifestyle community that is both accessible and walkable,” said Ryan Rans, managing partner of Great Lakes Capital.
The three-level restaurant includes a rooftop space with an outdoor fireplace and eight garage doors that can be opened, weather-permitting.
GrandView South is the second phase of the GrandView development that now offers 380 apartments and 36,000-square-feet of commercial space.
“Despite the pandemic, we are already seeing a strong response from potential residents, because we are meeting an unmet need for small, high-end apartment homes in Granger and Mishawaka,” said Rans.
GrandView South offers a variety of layouts, ranging from microunits to three-bedroom units.
