1st Source Bank expanding to Lake County

South Bend-based 1st Source Bank on Tuesday announced the opening of a new loan production office in Crown Point. The bank said the new office represents its first foray into Lake County and expands its footprint to cover all of northwest Indiana.
The location at 9800 Connecticut Drive is currently only open by appointment and serves community businesses with small business loans, deposit, treasury, and other commercial credit needs.
“This strategic step of expanding into Lake County is exciting because we are not only growing our organization, but we are helping other businesses to grow too,” CEO Andrea Short said in a news release. “We are looking forward to seeing the impact that our West Region team has on the community as they deliver outstanding client service to Lake County.”
The Crown Point office comes about seven months after 1st Source opened a loan production office in Indianapolis. The bank also has a loan production office in Fort Wayne.
1st Source Bank has been in operation for more than 160 years and has assets of $8.7 billion. Its footprint includes nearly 80 banking centers in Indiana and southwest Michigan.
