The person selected for the role will succeed Wendy Dant Chesser, who is stepping down at the end of October.
Waverly Partners, which also has offices in Cincinnati, Charlottesville, Virginia, and Kansas City, Kansas, was selected following a Request for Proposals issued last month.
“Waverly Partners knows much about our region and what we seek regarding our next CEO and president of 1si, “1si Board Chair Bryan Wickens said in a news release. “Their record on successful CEO searches and proactive engagement with our search committee and process has been extraordinary, and we are excited to work with them moving forward in this important effort. ”
1si said Waverly Partners will meet with the 1si search committee in the coming weeks to create a detailed search plan.
In July, Chesser announced she was resigning from the role she’s held for 10 years to take a position with the River Ridge Development Authority in Jeffersonville.
Chesser’s final day at 1si will be Oct. 26. The organization said if a successor isn’t named by that time, an interim CEO will be selected.
