The list honors businesses that have found ways to be resilient and turn challenges into impact-making processes.
This year’s MIC list features 463 businesses from 29 countries. The digital water solutions provider is ranked No. 8 in the social good category for its work in tracking COVID-19 in wastewater.
“From day one, our fundamental mission has been grounded in providing solutions that further water quality programs that protect public health and equipping communities with the knowledge to make sound investments that improve and maintain water quality now and into the future,” said Megan Glover, co-founder and chief executive officer of 120Water. “By combining our cloud software with a robust sampling logistics layer, we empower our customers to make rapid, well-informed decisions to solve problems facing their drinking or wastewater programs.”
120Water says it is the fastest growing digital water company in the country. The system “collects samples from wastewater treatment plants, tests for the virus DNA present in the sewage, and then creates a dashboard that epidemiologists or health departments can use to quickly find new hotspots.”
“In a year of unprecedented challenges, the companies on this list exhibit fearlessness, ingenuity, and creativity in the face of crisis,” said Fast Company Deputy Editor David Lidsky.
