Book Publisher to Expand Indiana Plant

Subscribe NowNew York-based Hachette Book Group has announced plans to invest nearly $21 million to expand its warehousing/distribution facility in Lebanon. The company says the 164,000-square-foot expansion will result in the hiring of additional staff, but Hachette did not give a specific number.
HBG opened the Boone County plant in 2014 and currently employs about 500 people.
“The expansion of Hachette Book Group’s facility in Lebanon is a testament of our strong community development and workforce,” said Lebanon Mayor Matt Gentry. “We are excited that Hachette is continuing to succeed and invest in Lebanon.”
Hachette Book Group is a leading US trade publisher and a division of the third largest trade and educational book publisher in the world, Hachette Livre, which is based in France. It operates 10 facilities in the U.S.
The expansion is set to break ground in March.
