Subscribe NowOfficials from Fishers will Friday morning take part in a ribbon cutting at the new headquarters of First Internet Bancorp (Nasdaq: INBK). Plans for the 168,000-square-foot office building was first announced in December 2018.
The project is part of a $157 million development that includes apartments, office and retail space. Work on that part of the project is nearing completion. Construction of a boutique hotel is set to begin in 2022.
The bank now employs more than 200 full-time employees and continues to grow. Last month, the company announced it was acquiring First Century Bancorp, headquartered in Georgia.
The deal for the parent of First Century Bank is valued at $80 million. The transaction is expected to close early next year.
