Beacon Health Acquires Michigan-based Hospital

Subscribe NowSouth Bend-based Beacon Health System has completed its previously announced acquisition of Three Rivers Health located in St. Joseph County, Michigan. This is Beacon’s first property across state lines. Three Rivers Health operates one, 60-bed hospital and 16 clinics.
While the sales price was not disclosed, under the agreement, Beacon Health System has committed to investing more than $20 million during the next five years at Three Rivers Health to improve its facilities and to facilitate growth.
Three Rivers Health employs about 550 workers. This partnership expands patient access to the 1,100 Beacon Health System physicians, providers and specialists.

Among its facilities, Beacon Health operates Memorial Hospital in South Bend, Elkhart General Hospital, Community Hospital of Bremen.
