Days Corp., which dates back to 1913, has changed its name to EQ United, paying homage to its former Chief Executive Officer Jim Sproatt.
EQ United is the name of the parent company and its two subsidiaries have also changed their names. Equalizer Systems, which was founded by Sproatt in 1990 and provides hydraulic and electric lifting, leveling and slide room products for a variety of industries, will now be known as EQ Systems.
Additionally, Days Distribution & Logistics, a third-party logistics provider, will now be known as EQ Logistics.
“We took a very hard look at who we are and why we are a great company with two great divisions and a strong team,” said Jason Loose, chief operating officer of EQ United. “The answer for us is Jim Sproatt. Jim’s legacy stems from hard work and an innate ability to see potential in people and endeavors. Jim managed this company with a spark in his eye and a feeling of family and pride. We wanted to find a way to honor his legacy as we grow into the future and so we are taking on a new approach building on our strengths and our innovative mindset.”
EQ United says its operations will continue as normal.
