Publication Ranks Top Communities Including Two in Indiana

Subscribe NowMoney magazine is out with its annual list of 50 Best Places to Live in the U.S. and two central Indiana communities make the top 20. The publication says its 35th annual list highlights the places where “job growth is rising, and home prices are affordable.”
The city of Carmel is the highest ranked Hoosier community, snaring the second position on the list. Coming in at No. 18 is the city of Brownsburg.
The Money article says of Carmel, “Welcome to the Roundabout Capital of America, where drivers can find 140 of the accident-reducing intersections” and, “Carmel is packed with both serious economic opportunity — at $125,811, it has one of the higher median household incomes on our list.”
The article highlighted seasonal attractions for each community and family-friend events. he publication also noted the success of each community’s high school.
Money highlighted Brownsburg’s economic drivers. “Retail and hospitality are a big part of the city’s economy, employing about 1,000 people each. The city is also attracting new companies in industries such as logistics and healthcare. Job growth is expected to increase by 13% by 2025.”
The top finisher is Chanhassen, Minnesota, a suburb of the Twin Cities. Nashville suburb Franklin, Tennessee came in at No. 3
