A new receiving facility and a plating shop have been added to the base to provide munitions.
Crane says the projects are part of a modernization effort to ensure the facility will be able to deliver needed munitions for the 21st Century Army.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony will include remarks from four-star Gen. Ed Daly, commanding general of U.S. Army Materiel Command, and one-star Brig. Gen. Gavin Gardner, commanding general of U.S. Army Joint Munitions Command, as well as senior leaders from the CAAA.
The event is scheduled for 10 a.m. at Naval Surface Activity Crane, where the CAAA is located.
