Carmel Symphony Orchestra Makes Promotion

Subscribe NowThe board of directors of Carmel Symphony Orchestra has promoted Cara Pittenger to executive director. She previously served as music librarian and personnel manager and most recently as director of operations.
“I am beyond grateful for the opportunity to guide this exceptional orchestra,” Pittenger said. “As far as plans for the future, I look forward to expanding our educational programs, and to getting the CSO out into our communities even more. I want everyone to know what a fantastic asset the Carmel Symphony Orchestra is, not just for the City of Carmel and Hamilton County, but for all of Central Indiana.”
Pittenger holds a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree from Ball State University and is a U.S. Army veteran who served six years with the 38th Infantry Division Band.
