The 57,000-square-foot building will house 210 students in 112 rooms arranged in a pod formation to encourage collaboration.
Marian President Daniel Elsener says the university has seen a nearly 26% growth in enrollment over the last five years.
“In an effort to provide a transformational college experience, we can now offer more first-year students the opportunity to live on-campus in a community where they will grow as leaders and make meaningful connections with like-minded peers,” said Elsener.
The university says a unique feature of the new residence hall is the M. Anne Haire Memorial Garden, built for student reflection in memory of alumnae Anne Marty Haire.
