Gay Lynn Crossley will serve as dean of Ancilla College of Marian University in Marshall County.
Crossley currently serves as associate professor of English at Marian and will continue to be a tenured associate professor of English.
Last August, Ancilla, which is located in the town Donaldson, and Marian announced they were joining forces to “strengthen Catholic higher education and lead to more course offerings.” On July 1, the move and the name change became official.
The universities say Crossley will coordinate daily operations with the chancellor of Ancilla and work with the provost and executive vice president of the Marian University system.
“Through her leadership, we will fulfill the mission and vision of preparing transformative leaders for service to the world through excellent teaching and learning that empowers students to achieve collegiate goals, successful careers and faith-filled values-centered lives,” said Joseph Heidt, chancellor of Ancilla College of Marian University.
Crossley has taught at Marian for 25 years.
