Martell Electric Continues Michigan Expansion

South Bend-based Martell Electric LLC has acquired Tishhouse Electric in Michigan. According to Chief Executive Officer John Martell, the acquisition is expected to grow its Portage, Michigan office employees from 12 to 30 or more in 2022.

The company says Tishhouse Electric founders Carrie and Stephen Tishhouse will be actively involved with Martell Electric.

“It was important to us that we partnered with an organization that shares our values, and we know that John Martell and his team will honor our legacy as they expand here,” said Carrie and Stephen Tishhouse.

Martell Electric has leased a 10,000-square-foot office and warehouse in Portage. “This market is a key part of our Michigan and overall growth strategy,” Martell said.

In June, the company announced its planned expansion in Benton Harbor.
