Rennie Out as Indy Eleven Head Coach

Indy Eleven Professional Soccer has announced the team and Martin Rennie have mutually agreed to end Rennie’s tenure as head coach. Rennie joined the Eleven in 2018 and leaves eight games into the season.

The team did not provide a reason for the decision. In a news release, Indy Eleven Chief Executive Officer Greg Stremlaw thanked Rennie for his time with the team and said they will conduct a search for his successor.

“In the short term, we will look to our current coaching staff to handle duties on an interim basis as we prepare for this weekend’s match” said Stremlaw. “We expect our search for a permanent head coach to be conducted in a way that will expedite the securement of a quality candidate who can lead us to a championship in 2021 and beyond.”

During his tenure as head coach, Rennie compiled a record of 42 wins, 31 losses and 19 draws in regular season play, and two wins and two losses in postseason play.
