Ivy Tech Inks Transfers With UIndy, Earlham College

Subscribe NowIvy Tech Community College has reached agreements with two universities that allow graduates with associate degrees to seamlessly transfer credits and earn a bachelor’s degree. The partnerships are with the University of Indianapolis and Earlham College in Richmond.
The eligible programs at UIndy include specific programs in chemistry, psychology, social work and business.
The schools say the agreement will allow Ivy Tech students completing an associate degree program to be admitted to UIndy with a junior standing, provided they meet admissions criteria.
“The partnership expands access to our high-quality degree programs to anyone who is ready and interested, and will assist individual students, regional economic development,” said Robert Manuel, president of the University of Indianapolis.
Ivy Tech has also finalized a series of articulation agreements with Earlham College allowing students with an Ivy Tech associate degree to transfer credits to the school in Richmond and complete a four-year degree.
The agreements allow Ivy Tech students who have earned an associate degree in biology, chemistry, computer science, business administration, psychology, or human services to transfer to Earlham without losing credits they earned at Ivy Tech.
“We are extremely pleased to add several seamless transfer agreements with Earlham College to our growing number of transfer opportunities for Ivy Tech associate degree graduates,” said Stacy Atkinson, chancellor of Ivy Tech Community College Richmond. “These are the most extensive partnerships in history between our institutions.”
Earlham says Ivy Tech honors students will automatically be offered enrollment into Earlham’s honors program, which provides enhanced advising and honors seminars.
