Bloomington Predictive Mood Startup Wins Competition

Predictive mood software startup ShuffleMe took home the top honors as well as a $2,500 prize to support its business growth.
Founder Britain Taylor says the funding will be used to make the software multiplatform.
The Mill says the software can help monitor the impact of social media on a user’s mood and is being used in test pilots with several medical institutions. The SaaS program uses facial recognition and emotional AI to gather data for users and their mental health providers.
The competition, which was open to entrepreneurs in the Bloomington-Columbus area, scored competitors with a panel of judges from Elevate Ventures, IU Ventures, and the Kelley School of Business, among others.
Other high scorers included OurSafeQ, a virtual system to manage queues, Reezy, an app to help consumers save digital and print receipts from stores, and WayZada, which creates custom 3-D works of art.
