Auto Software Firm Expanding Columbus Tech Facility

The company provides software to the automotive industry, including original equipment manufacturers and Tier 1 suppliers.
KPIT says the investment includes upgrading software and equipment and increasing product development capabilities.
“With a thriving tech ecosystem and the second-largest automotive industry in the nation, our state is the perfect location for the convergence of these essential sectors,” said Governor Eric Holcomb.
KPIT is a subsidiary of India-based KPIT Technologies Ltd., which has been operating in the U.S. for more than 15 years. It’s first facility was in Columbus.
“Advanced mobility technologies, engineering excellence, foreign direct investment, and engaging a diverse and talented workforce are all attributes that we find in common with KPIT, and we are pleased to welcome their new investment in our community”, said Columbus Mayor Jim Lienhoop.
The Indiana Economic Development Corp. offered KPIT up to $3.2 million in conditional tax credits and up to $75,000 in training grants based on the company’s job creation plans.
