Rose-Hulman Professor Named Distinguished Fellow

Subscribe NowABET International educational accreditation agency has named Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology Director of Engineering Design and Mechanical Engineering Professor Patsy Brackin as a distinguished Fellow. Brackin is being recognized for her career achievements in undergraduate engineering education. She will be one of four leaders honored at the virtual 2020 ABET Awards later this month.
“Dr. Brackin is a talented engineer, educator and leader who is dedicated to student success. I’m excited to see her talents recognized by ABET, an organization that she has served for many years,” said Rick Stamper, provost and vice president for academic affairs.
Brackin previously was a design engineer for Chicago Bridge & Iron before becoming a professor. She holds bachelors and master’s degrees in nuclear engineering from the University of Tennessee, a master’s degree in mathematical sciences from the University of Memphis and PhD in mechanical engineering from Georgia Tech.
